Solsa was the brainchild of JOE GARCIA, manager of Solsa. Although
there were many Latin bands and many R&B bands in the Sacramento
Valley, there were very few, if any, that performed music from both of
these genres. From that idea, Solsa was formed. Solsa's music consists
of standard and original Latin and R&B tunes, all infused with a signature
Latin percussion and flair. Solsa is also a melting pot for some of the
Sacramento Valley's most talented musicians who, collectively, have
amassed an incredible musical resume performing with and opening up
for legendary acts such as MALO, EL CHICANO, TOWER OF POWER,
CONFUNKSHUN, TIERRA, CARLOS SANTANA, JORGE SANTANA, CHARRO,
and many more

We all remember the sixties…
A time of conflict and of coming of age. A time of youth and of love,
of peace and of innocence, and of the wild and wonderful music
that set the background for our lives and for the generations who
followed.

The amazing vocals of the early California Beach Boys made us all
dream of warm sand, fast cars and hitting the surf. Then there was
the British invasion that began with the Beatles in early 1964 with
"I Want to Hold Your Hand" had us all growing our hair and rushing
out to by miniskirts and go-go boots as many other English groups
continued to rock the music scene.

The hippies of San Francisco Haight-Ashbury days spoke to the
world of peace, hapiness, flowers adn free love while thousands
of similar free spirits on the East Coast gathered together in a little
town they called Woodstock.

The Motown Sound rocked Detroit and Music was indeed the King that united a nation. There has never
been any question that music was at it's best from 1963 to 1969. The music of the 60s holds a special memory
for those who grew up with it. It was music you could sing along with, music you could dance to, music you
fell in love with.

Now, one group brings all the memorable music from the 60s together for you in one great show!

Whiskey Dawn
Whiskey Dawn is California’s hottest country band. With the
release of their first original album, Dear Nashville, Whiskey
Dawn’s
popularity has sky-rocketed to unimagined heights. Regularly
featured on 101.9 the Wolf in Sacramento, Whiskey Dawn’s music
has been heard on multiple country stations up and down the
State of California.

They’ve performed with several Nashville acts including Eric
Church and (this month!) Luke Bryan. Quickly becoming the
favorite band at each new venue, Whiskey Dawn
will perform over 100 high-octane shows in 2009, captivating
audiences with precision harmonies and dynamic instrumentation.
Time Bandits
The Time Bandits are a dynamic rhythm and blues horn band
from the San Francisco Bay area. Who are they? Start with the
rhythm section, a soul machine fueled by drummer Darrell Echolls
bassist Cory De Brake A.K.A. Cor, guitarist Rick Lowe and
keyboardist Jeff Curtis. Top it off with a generous helping of
soulful vocals by lead singer Roc Boulding. Add a crisp, tight
horn section featuring Roy Word on trumpet, saxman, Skip
Mesquite and trombonist, Trent Gardner, and you have all the
ingredients for a good time that will leave your ears wanting to
hear more. The groove is infectious, the band is bumpin’ and the
message is clear.
Tom Rigney & Flambeau
Tom Rigney, the fiery, electrifying violinist/composer, joins forces with
some of the finest musicians on the San Francisco roots music scene
to form Tom Rigney and Flambeau, a band that will tear the roof off of
anyplace that has one and raise the spirits of everyone around. Rigney,
after fifteen years at the helm of The Sundogs, has stepped out into
the spotlight with a vengeance. Flambeau showcases his passionate,
virtuoso fiddling, his commanding stage presence, his range, depth,
and originality as a composer, and of course, those notorious red
boots. His bandmates are veterans of the great bands of Charles Brown,
Queen Ida, Roy Rogers, Clifton Chenier, and others, and together they
generate enough heat and energy to ignite a dance floor or lift an
audience to its feet.

Flambeau specializes in fiery Cajun and zydeco two-steps, low-down blues, funky New Orleans
grooves, and heartbreakingly beautiful ballads and waltzes. Most of the repertoire is composed by
Rigney, but they also mix in a few classics from the Cajun/zydeco/New Orleans songbook. And if, along
the way, you pick up a trace of Rigney’s Irish roots or a little Swing and roots Rock and Roll, it just
makes the musical gumbo that much tastier. In the past few year’s Rigney’s skills as a composer have
broadened and deepened, and he is today writing some of the most evocative and uplifting music you
will hear anywhere. And Rigney’s charismatic stage presence and high-energy delivery draw the
audience into his performances and make them feel that they are an integral part of the music and the
show.

Voted Best Cajun/Zydeco Band of 2004 by the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame!

Beaches, boats, bars and tropical drinks with those colorful little umbrellas.
Garratt Wilkin & The Parrotheads have
headlined fairs and festivals throughout
Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho
Arizona, Utah, Nashville (Tennessee) and
as far away as Anchorage (Alaska), Maui
(Hawaii), as well as the Eastern seaboard
and as close as his home town of
Placerville, CA. Their popularity is expanding throughout North America.

Garratt and his band have been billed as the #1 Jimmy Buffett tribute band in the nation. Garratt
says, "Traveling with 'The Parrotheads' is a great way to meet Jimmy Buffett fans and to make new
'Parrothead' friends. We get such a kick performing for fans that become just as much a part of the
show as we are."

Since their initial transformation from Garratt Wilkin & The Whiskey Ducks to Garratt Wilkin & The
Parrotheads, exclusively performing Jimmy Buffett music, the Parrotheads have performed as a
six-piece "core" band and up to as large as a 13 piece band including Steel Drums, Horn Section,
Harmonica and Pedal Steel Guitar. Garratt was quoted as saying, "Performing with the big band
gives us the closest representation of the Coral Reefers and creates the look, feel and sound of
being at a Jimmy Buffett concert."
