THE HONEYBEE TRIO - History

It seems that The Honeybees were just meant to be. There were three narratives
occurring at the same time, edging these three young girls Natalie, Karli, and Sarah,
towards performing together.
Natalie and Karli had performed duets together several times, and had heard Sarah
sing in other performance groups. They had approached her with the idea that the
three of them should perform together as a trio. In the meantime, Karli’s mother had
booked a gig at the Saturday Club for the duet, and Karli and Natalie had mentioned
to her that they would be interested in adding Sarah to the mix.
But the real impetus that turned The Honeybees into more than a great idea was Debi
Mc Mindes. Debi had her annual Christmas gig booked at Diamond Grove Retirement
Community. She had heard both Natalie and Karli sing, and had always wanted to
put together a trio. She called the two girls and asked if they knew who would be a
good addition to the group. The girls immediately responded, “Sarah!” The trio and
their artistic director were now a team.
Once the girls started harmonizing together everything fell into place. It was obvious
that they had something very special. As they started performing, the buzz around the
trio grew. They were suddenly in high demand, and began performing on a regular
basis for parties, concerts, and special events. Debi continues to be the artistic
director, music arranger, and costumer. And Natalie, Karli, and Sarah - well, they
continue to do the thing they love the most...sing!
